Additional Drivers

Our Role as a Broker and Agent
YORK Car Rental acts solely as a broker and agent, providing a car rental affiliate reservation system for the convenience of you, the customer, and the locally owned and operated rental companies. We arrange and confirm your vehicle reservation with a local rental provider, but we do not supply the vehicle ourselves.

When you make a booking through us, you will enter into a direct rental agreement with the rental company at the time of vehicle collection. The terms, conditions, and applicable laws governing the rental will be those set out in the rental contract presented at the rental location.

In the event of any conflict between these Booking Terms and the rental company’s terms, the supplier’s terms will take precedence in relation to the vehicle rental itself.

We use reasonable commercial efforts to ensure the accuracy of all information published on our website or distributed through third-party platforms; however, we cannot guarantee that all details are free from errors or omissions. Our liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount of rental charges paid to us.

After Hours Returns

Business hours are from 07:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Pick-up or drop-off outside these hours is subject to a $30 additional fee.

Coverages

Third-Party Liability (TPL) is included.
Full coverage is available for $30 per day.

Cross Border Restrictions

Cross-border travel is permitted to Kosovo, Montenegro, and North Macedonia only, at a cost of $66 per country.
Traveling to other countries without prior notification will result in a $1,000 penalty.

Driving Restrictions

Off-road driving is prohibited. A $330 penalty will apply, in addition to any damage costs.

Financial Policy

The following credit and debit cards are accepted for the security deposit: ( MasterCard - Visa - American Express - Revolut ) ** The physical card must be presented at the counter. Prepaid, rechargeable, and virtual cards are not accepted ** ( $120 for Car class MCMR, ECMR EDMR CDMR CDAR SVAR, SVMR ) ( $240 for Car class IFAR IFMR SVMD )

Pick Up Instructions

Our complimentary shuttle service operates every 30 minutes during the winter season and every 20 minutes during the summer, depending on traffic conditions.

Refueling Policy

Same-to-same (return the vehicle with the same fuel level as at pick-up).

Renter Qualifications

At the time of pick-up, the main driver and any additional drivers must present a valid driving license in their name.

If your license has been renewed and only shows the renewal date, you must provide proof of the original issue date.

All drivers must have held a valid driving license for at least 12 months.

An International Driving Permit (IDP) is not required.
